Angie Hatch, a Health Educator at the Bear River Health Department, talks about the Health Aggie Prevention Coalition and shares ways to become more involved in your community.
The Healthy Aggies Coalition at Utah State University is one of several prevention coalitions supported by the Bear River Health Department. These coalitions bring people together to address important community issues before they start.
The focus areas include:
- Preventing underage drinking
- Reducing vaping and substance use
- Promoting mental health and wellness
Using local data, community input, and proven prevention strategies, these coalitions help students, staff, and partners across the Bear River Health District work together to create lasting, positive change.
When communities come together, no one feels alone in facing challenges. The Healthy Aggies Coalition builds a safer, healthier campus by fostering connection, education, and prevention. Together, participants promote healthy choices and mental well-being for everyone at USU.
