Protect yourself with the vaccine. The best way to protect against measles is with the measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine. MMR is safe and effective. Two doses of MMR vaccine are about 97% effective at preventing measles; one dose is about 93% effective.

The Utah Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has launched a new dashboard tracking measles in wastewater across the state. Recent samples show measles activity in the Bear River Health District. While no human cases have been confirmed locally, the Bear River Health Department (BRDH) is alerting residents so they can take appropriate precautions.
