WIC – Women, Infants & Children
About the WIC Program
The Women, Infants, and Children program (WIC) is a supplemental nutrition program that helps families learn about healthy eating. This program is for pregnant women or those who have children under the age of 5 who meet the income guidelines.
Income Guidelines
breastfeeding
Breastfeeding is most successful when mothers are supported. WIC has specifically trained breastfeeding coaches to help moms any time of the day or night with breast feeding challenges. This is free to all WIC clients.
Breast Pumps
WIC has pumps available for clients that need them. If you are returning to work or school, have a baby in the NICU or other issues that require a pump, WIC can provide one that will fit your needs. We can provide education and support on pumping issues.
Breastfeeding education
Breastfeeding classes are offered regularly. Certified lactation educators teach the classes to prepare new mom to breastfeed. Experienced breastfeeding moms are welcome to attend for a refresher and to share their tips.
e-WIC Orientation Videos
WIC is a nutrition program that helps families learn about healthy eating through nutrition education, counseling, nutritious foods, and help accessing health care.
